Casting a spell needn’t be lengthy or complex. There are, however, a couple rules that should always be adhered to. The first rule is that evil spells must never be cast. Create the Intention for a Romantic Connection
The first thing to do is to get specific. What sort of Valentine’s celebration is wanted? An evening of passion? A sexy massage or a sumptuous meal? Use the five W questions (who, what, when, where, why and how), and focus on the five senses (taste, touch, smell, sight and sound) to create a clear mind-picture of the desire or intention.
The more detailed, the better. Once a lucid and thorough mind-picture is created, write down words and draw pictures that specifically demonstrate the mind-picture. This will be used in the spell, as outlined next.

The following steps for a love spell can be performed in an attempt to manifest love.
- Gather the following: a candle, a picture of your sweetheart, the paper with words or pictures that describe your intention, and any fun Valentine’s items you are planning on including in your evening, such as essential oil-enhanced massage oil or magickal foods.
- Find a quiet and private space, free from distractions and disturbances.
- Quiet your mind, breathe deeply, calm your body and feel connected to the Earth and to the Universe
- Imagine a big protective bubble surrounding you. This is a secure bubble that will keep only good energy moving in and out.
- Light your candle. This candle will stay lit throughout the entire spell. It will be a signal to your subconscious mind, telling it when the spell begins and ends.
- Invite the Universe to hear your desires.
- Look at the picture of your partner. Read the words you wrote and look at any pictures you drew that show exactly what you want to manifest for Valentine’s. Close your eyes and really get into the imagery of your desires. What does it feel like, taste like, sound like, smell like and look like? Spend as much time as you like in this imagery.
- Ask the Universe to take the energy you’ve put into your intention and manifest it physically.
- Thank the Universe.
- Blow out your candle, thus closing the circle and ending the spell.
